the 'sail' effect of frank gehry's IAC center on the hudson in west chelsea never dissapoints...especially at night. it reminds me of an iceberg...appropriate considering the pier the titanic was scheduled to arrive at lies just 4 blocks to the south.

I totally agree with you about the iceburg thing. In fact, I refer to it as "the iceburg building on the highway." I think the IAG sign ruins the design though. It was so much cooler not knowing what it was: apartment building, office building, super modern vivisection plant from the future? It's lost some of mystique now that it's got the name/logo of The Home Shopping Network on it. It had been signless for a while...
